Welcome and acclimatization with the traditional "Mate de coca". At the indicated time we will start the tour through the city, from the “PLAZA DE ARMAS” (PARADE GROUND), which was outlined by the founder of the Inca Empire and is currently surrounded by three types of architecture: Inca Palace - Colonial Mansions - Republican Construction; THE CATHEDRAL where paintings from the Cuzqueña School and Renaissance are found; and the KORICANCHA a complex dedicated to the "Sun" the main god of the Inca Empire. Afterwards we will visit the area of SACSAYHUAMAN, formed by four archaeological complexes: TAMBOMACHAY, the main worship place to the "Water" element, also known as the Inca Baths; the fortress of PUCAPUCARA, a military Center; the Amphitheater of QUENQO, a palpable sample of the character of the men of that era; and finally the Fortress of SACSAYHUAMAN, the main area which had multiple functions (Fortress, Religious Center, Lodging Center). Transfer to the SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS located between the mountain ranges of Vilcanota and Salkantay at 2.700 m.a.s.l.. During the journey we will visit typical towns as PISAQ, at 32 Km. from Cuzco and characteristic by its market or craftsmen fair in the main square. Continuing along the bank of the URUBAMBA River, we will appreciate magnificent landscapes until reaching the town of the same name, located in the heart of the Sacred Valley and was as Pre-Hispanic Agricultural Center. PM. Lunch in Urubamba. Afterwards we will go to the Inca town of OLLANTAYTAMBO, located in the western end of the Urubamba Valley, and is characteristic by the magnificence of its buildings in the upper part and the distribution of the terracing and deposits. Finally, we will visit the CHINCHEROS town also famous for its handicrafts fair. At the indicated time, return to the hotel. Overnight in Cuzco. Day 03: Cuzco / Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu) AM. At the indicated time we will transfer to the station to take the Backpackers train that will take us through the URUBAMBA VALLEY to the ARCHAEOLOGIC SANCTUARY OF MACHU PICCHU at 112 Km. from Cuzco. During the journey we will appreciate the CANYON OF URUBAMBA, bathed by the Vilcanota River and crowned by the snow covered mountain range "La Veronica". In Machu Picchu the visit will include the Agricultural Sector (terracing), Urban Sector (religious, military buildings and houses), being remarkable the Temple of the Sun, the Intiwatana, the Temple of the Three Windows and the Sacred Stone.
